Cantal de Arnaldico

A walk from the village of Villanova to a literally legendary large granite rock:
Popular legend has it that in Villanova there used to be two quarters, one for the Christians and the other for the Moors. For various reasons, and mainly because of the death of a girl, the Christians decided to expel the Moors from the city and gave a deadline until dawn the next day. At night, the Moors climbed the rock to push it in such a way that it fell straight from the slope to the village, thus destroying the Church of San Pedro. They failed and the Rock (Cantal) and the Church are still there ...
From the village you can walk to the rock in half an hour, and you can make a round trip of a total of one and a half hours via other beautiful paths.
This excursion is free and can be done without guidance.
