Multi-day (donkey) trekking
Do you want to go on an unforgettable adventure with your family? Hiking, camping, and feeling far away from civilization in untouched nature? Experience the intense beauty and purity of the mountains in a unique way during a multi-day hiking tour with a donkey.
You camp (depending on the length of your trek) in a real Mongolian Yurt and at so-called Borda's; century-old typical spanish natural stone shelters with slate roof in the mountains. After each walking day you will find everything you need for the evening and the night at your overnight stay: a place to relax, and at the bordas there vare tents and all other camping equipment. A 2 burner gas stove and the ingredients to cook all meals are ready to use. As well as water, soft drinks, beer and wine. It's called camping, but you lack nothing... And a big advantage is that you walk 'lightly', after all, you don't have to carry camping gear yourself.
At the overnight places you are alone in nature with your family. And if you're quiet late at night, foxes, deer, wild boars or badgers will regularly come and have a look to see if there are leftovers for them...
An unforgettable experience for the children and for the parents to enjoy the evening under the starry sky with a glass of wine…
We offer the possibility to do these trekkings with a donkey: this is like your 'backpack on 4 legs' and can also carry young children if they get tired. The kids love to walk with their new donkey friend and take care of him along the way.

The walking days consist of 3 to 5 walking hours, during which you can take plenty of time for a picnic along the way. The donkey carries the picnic and the daypacks (with water, jackets, sunscreen, etc.).
The walks are in the mountains and through varied terrain: along fields, through forests and along rivers, always with beautiful views. The routes are clearly described.
The morning of departure starts with the briefing. You get to know your donkey and learn how it 'works', how to attach the luggage and the pack saddle, etc. We also explain the route. You will receive the route written out and drawn on a map, furthermore there are ribbons along the way. This way you can walk without a guide or other people, so that you intensely enjoy this unforgettable experience with your family!
Every day there is luggage transport by 4x4 to the new overnight place. So there is no need to walk with heavy backpacks. The treks are fully catered for: including all meals, picnics and drinks for everyone. At every overnight place there is a meadow for the donkey to graze and spend the night.
The trek includes camping equipment (tents, sleeping mats or beds and pillows). And can be done from June to October.
The donkey has a pack saddle with bags to put the picnic in, and you can easily hang some daypacks on the pack saddle. The rest of your luggage is taken every day by 4x4 to the next overnight place.
The trekking includes all drinks (water, soft drinks, juice, tea, coffee, beer and wine) and all meals (every trekking day breakfast, fresh fruit, picnic lunch, snacks and dinner).
Bring your own: towels, pillowcases and sleeping bags.

Just letting you know that we have had a wonderful two-day trekking with our children (6 and 8) with you. TomTom was super sweet and the kids talk a lot about it. The starry sky at our house, the well-kept food and the excellent information in advance made it complete! Highly recommended!

As promised, a report about our trip with Marguerita.
First of all, of course: thank you very, very much for the good care, the interesting tips and the pleasant guidance. Much of what we've done and seen - and eaten - in that whole week was recommended by you and we just never found, despite all our online preparation.
All three of us thought it was a very successful holiday - albeit very hot, but if we didn't find fault with the weather, we wouldn't be Dutch.
The routes were doable, we were especially worried about Marguerita, whether she would not get too hot and whether she would be able to take all those narrow paths and rocks. Against my better judgement, because that is precisely what donkeys are for, of course.
Marguerita was very sweet and docile. You told her she could eat whatever she wanted, which meant she wanted to eat anything she could reach, even withered bushes. When we rested the first day with a sandwich and an apple, she came over to help (our mistake, we couldn't find anything to tie her to) and also ate a snack - unasked.
When she arrived at the hut - a beautiful, idyllic place, with a beautiful view - she immediately managed to squeeze in and steal Savannah's pack of bread from the open trunk. After that we never ate it again.
When we went to get her in the morning, but also when she saw us upstairs from her pasture, she started to bray touchingly, and immediately went to the fence to wait for us.
In any case, it was a very nice, special experience, we think back on it with great pleasure!
